• Finished my last exam in the MA track. I don’t really know what to feel: the worst nightmare ended or the worst decision of my life has finally reached its acme?! Still have to write the dissertation though. Most of the reading part is done.
• How do you work in the 21st century? Log off all your chat programs. Use only Gmail Notifier, otherwise you are fucked! So, I’m switching to mail!
• Corrected 183 exam papers. Nothing unexpected! I hate those people, who have 2 pages of course materials, they’ve learnt it and reproduce it in the exam, although it has nothing to do with the exam subjects. This reminds me of a quote from Cow and Chicken: “Isn’t that cute? But it’s WRONG!”
• Most probably: weekend party@Club Midi. If underground house means London, techno and minimal techno means Germany. Due to some deadlines I had to be more than offline this week. Extra preparation and thematic expansion was needed by a seminar, so I did this work. It is pretty interesting to work and expand the Gerbner and Westley&Maclean communication models when the news present the presidential attacks launched against the press and mass media. It is similar to cooking and watching cooking shows. Eating the result always prevails. I feel an inner urge to comment on this act, but as a protest, I won’t do it. It’s nothing new, just annoying.

Research needs put me to re-read and deepen the methodological framework, so I am full of variables, non-metric data and statistical control. At this stage, the Romanian higher education system shows its real weaknesses, and generates a “no-party-weekend”, although the presence of Miss Jools was a very tempting offer to screw research. But no, it did not happen. An interesting fact on the Miss Jools’s official website: Midi Club-Romania-Roma. Hmmm…..

But still, I had the opportunity to try Bavaria Beer. Yeap, dutch! Shame on Bayern (for Cottbus, of course).

Amikor egy adott háttértudással és intuícióval kevert módszertant még a düh is beárnyékol kicsit, mindig rizikós írni. Persze, most nem tudományos munkáról beszélek, hiszen ott teljesen más a kontextus és a háttértudás sokkal konszisztensebb, illetve az intuíció még a hipotézisek megfogalmazásában is csak egy visszafogott szerepet tölt be.

Annának újonnan megköszönve (és kellemes párizsi kalandozást kívánva), pár nap alatt sikerült bevágni Török Gábor A politikai napirend című könyvét, amely megerősített nagyon sok dologban, de főként egy aspektus (és nem aspektó) iratja velem ezen sorokat.

Pontosabban, egy bélműködésekre és emésztésre alapozott analógiám továbbvitte azon fonalat (vö. maszolos politikai cikkjeim), amelyben a katarzis meglétét hiányolom (és követelem, normatív álláspontot felvállalva) bizonyos politikai problémakezelésben. I’ve finished correcting and grading: sad, but it is ours. Plagiarism still a problem, and “we did not know about it” argument still rules the world. I slept more than 8 ours today and this could be considered as a record. The average grades are below 3 (and somewhere around 4 for the other year). Yeap, 10 is the maximum. Me not being mean. Just realistic.

Further blogchanges will appear, but just in february. Projects, research, exams and poker rule the world, ’till the upcoming weekend parties. Less politics, more other stuff. It is hard to find a good cap, or something like this. Branded ones even harder.

Nonetheless, this semester was OK, sometimes it was a real pleasure to work with students and sometimes they worked well. This end period downstream is absolutely normal, I guess…No hope for vendetta and I have to sneeze much more silently.

Hope that my white Zara shirt arrives today, because the black tie is loosing its patience.

Akinek volt 486 DX2-ese vagy esetleg Pentium I-ese, az igazán megértheti milyen fontos helyet foglalt el egy gyerekkorban a Mortal Kombat. Ludovic Orban miatt, le kellett mondanom az MK filmről, és ehelyett két óra hosszabított beszélgetőműsort néztem. Vérnyomás fel, nem kimondottan Orban miatt, akinek nincs keresnivalója ebben a minisztériumban (meg úgy különben sehol a politikában), hanem a kis hírtévék miatt.

Mélységes gyűlöletet váltanak ki belőlem azok az emberek, akik 3 szó per perces sebességgel, szinte sírva elmondanak valamit, és közben azt hangsúlyozzák: “nu vreau sa fiu dramatic”. Akkor ne legyél, basszam.

Szóval a Realitatea TV és az Antena 3 örökrangadóban egy újabb érdekes epizód volt, mindenki felsorakoztatta a nehéztűzérséget, aztán adjad neki. Ha nem 0,5 és 1,8 között mozogna ezen adók ratingje, akkor már aggódnék a nagy manipulálás miatt, de azért itt még nem tartunk. Mondjuk a Realitatea egész nap ezt nyomta, szóval lehet vagy 10000 látták is a műsorokat.

Egyik oldalon Orban összeállítások, megspékelve azzal, hogy bulis kontextusban mutatják a minisztert, ezt suggalva, hogy megy neki a szesz rendesen. Másik oldalon Victor Ciutacu szinte már idegrohamban azt mondja, hányszor sajnálta ő Orbant, amikor a PNL-s bulikon csak nektárt és ásványvizet ivott, mivel pár éve nincs sofőre (egy baleset miatt). És aztán Robert “dramatic” Turcescu beadja a zsarolós telefonhívást (valami 4. szektori PNL-s Orbanbarát) és 10 percben elmondja, hogy azt a hangfelvételt nem fogja beadni, amikor Orban ittas állapotban a tegnapelőtti műsor után telefonon basztatja Őszentségét. Azután egy másik elrendezett ügyet hoznak fel, ott is megoldanak mindent és folytatják az ultraspecializálódott meghívottakkal az elemzést. A másik oldalon Badea szidja Orbant az utak miatt, Radu Tudor azt mondja, hogy mennie kell, mert hazudott és ez elég kell legyen egy kötelező lemondáshoz. Ciutacu megint elfogult és Cristoiu természetesen a titikosszolgálatokat keveri bele. Jogosan, hiszen honnan az a datált felvétel (ami többet használ Orbannak, mint árt), mikor élő adásban kiderül, hogy egy vasárnap zárvatartó bank ablakából készült. Következtetés: senki nem tud semmit, jelenleg sem áldozat sem tanú, és az egész a kurva Realitatea Tv és SOV műve, mivel valami finanszirozóknak nem adott szerződéseket a miniszter.

Ha 10 percet nézi az ember az egyiket, meggyőzik. Utána átkapcsol, és meggyőzik megint. Egyik oldalon a rohadtulprofikvagyunkbazzeg távolságtartóbb Turcescu, akinek a lábára léptek, a másik oldalon az a bizonyos “mahala” stílus, több elemzéssel. S akkor most mi van ezzel az Orbanallal? A JN egy olyan cikket hoz ma, hogy állítólag az esetleges áldozat zsarolja Orbanalt, míg a Cotidianul tovább bontja a hazug, részeges és felelőtlen miniszter történetét.

Mivel maradunk? Elsősorban azzal, hogy a mentők és a rendőrők gyűlölik egymást, és a rendőrség Turcescunak köszöni meg a keddi műsort, mert sokat segített nekik a nyomozásban. Basszam, ne merészelje megköszönni! Azért van, hogy jobban dolgozzon és nyomozzon, ne a tévéből informálódjon az egyenruhás segge! Másik oldalról a következtetés az, hogy a baleset tiszta ügy, filázs is van bőven, viszont a kései bejelentés miatt le kellene mondani.

Huuh. Meggyőződésem, hogy a híres és sztárszámba menő (és verő) ujságíróknak LÓFASZ konkrétumuk van, azért is ennyire szerteágazó a hozzáállás. És továbbra is utálják egymást és újságírási kérdést is csinálnak belőle. Mit szabad és mit nem? Ki honnan kapja a pénzt és a szavakat a szájába. Nah, ez viszont másr régi lemez. Azok, akik azt hiszik, hogy ha el akarna intézni valamit egy miniszter, az ennyire döcögne, az tévednek. Valaki belülről folyat, mert különben azt sem tudnánk, hogy megtörtént és azt sem tudnánk, hogy Bukarest létezne. A másik meg: ha valaki telefonon utalgat zsarolásra, az menjen aludni. Ezek még tisztogatni és zsarolni sem tudnak. Szánaaaaaalmaaaaaas!

De egy gyenge miniszter megint áldozatként fog eltűnni. Mert nálunk nem divat az inkompetens selejteket kidobni, hanem ilyen hülyeséggel kell eltűntetni. Kedves Uraim, nem szégyen azért kidobni valakit mert rosszul teljesít! Jah, hogy nincs jobb? Az sem szégyen, csak kurvanagybaj.

Exit polls came out, the biggest surprise: PRM, Jiji.

The communicated election presence is sad, but everybody knew it. UDMR and Tokes did the most that was possible. Or the impossible. The mass mobilization of the Hungarian voters did this. A massive presence killed the statistics, so everything seems OK.

PD+PLD did what I meant for PD in the previous post. PNL did well and the rural voters came out in a bigger number, so PSD did better than expected.

Later updates and comments will come, but analysis is more important.

As for the referendum. Nothing new, it was clear.

Hereby I will publish an action of protest of mine. It is against the question, against all that did not happen and against all the political capital that was generated by this question. It is a plagiarism. Deo has this project: showing the finger to the biggest baroque buildings. This question was  a baroque institution. So, here we go (sorry for the quality, but it wasn’t easy):
