Movies: In Bruges (2008)
Lately, I’ve watched several movies. Most of them weren’t worth mentioning. This short review is on this blog not because of the value of the movie, but because of the temptation of some readers to take into consideration the 8.1 user rating on the IMDB. Unfortunately, it seems that I am very close to the Females Under 18 category. Or even below that average.
Writer and Director: Martin McDonagh
With: Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes
The most predictable movie of the year. Of course, from what I saw. I had medium expectations. This is a movie where you can find all the details needed in 10 seconds, and then you can build the plot on your own. Symbolic places that are highly emphasized, so you should know that there will happen something. It’s not a boring movie for those who seek the reassurance from the writer that they were right. For this type of viewers should be a great experience. I am the type that says: no fucking way, you must be kidding that I was right. And the movie proves it: you were right. You can smell the effort of the screenplay. It is sweating. I should do something to bring this boy back (igen, Zsoltika – amit te mondtal!). A killer shouldn’t be suicidal. Oh, this is the main “contrast” in the movie?! Sorry. What a twist! This movie is not a dwarf, it is midget. Indeed it is.
So don’t let yourselves mislead by the 8.1 rating. Please!
PS: Deo! Attol, hogy te nem ismered, meg jo ez a Schaefer! Ugye, MR Discipline? Tenyleg, legyen ez a wrestling neved, mit szolsz?
